Well played everyone, especially our new 18 hole lady golfers for a really good first season. They have all played some exceptional golf in competitions and have significantly contributed to the integration and support of the ladies’ section.
New Ladies Recruitment Initiative
Julie Welch and Yvonne Sewell have continued to run weekly lessons for beginner lady golfers. We are thrilled to welcome three new nine-hole members who have joined from these sessions. If you know someone interested in taking up lessons, whether they are a beginner or returning to golf, please inform us as we are hoping to have a new ladies recruitment initiative starting just after Easter next year.
Exchange Day
This month, we had the pleasure of hosting a very successful ‘Exchange Day’ with the ladies from Matfen Hall Golf Club, who reportedly enjoyed our course immensely. Our reciprocal visit to Matfen Hall was just as delightful, highlighted by the presentation of a new trophy. The trophy, kindly donated by Yitka and Max Graham, was awarded to Susan Handley, Helen Peat, and Jayne Denton, the triumphant team in the Texas Scramble – ‘The Andy Graham Memorial Trophy’.
